Meet Lucky Saini
Master of Hyper-Realism • Gurugram, India
Art is never mere imitation; it is the resurrection of soul and memory on paper. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, Lucky Saini has dedicated over a decade to the timeless craft of classical pencil portraiture.
What began as a childhood fascination with light, shadows, and human expressions has evolved into KalaRoop — an internationally recognized atelier trusted by distinguished families, spiritual devotees, and celebrity patrons.
Working with traditional graphite grades ranging from hard 2H to rich 8B, and multi-layered polychromos coloured pencils, Lucky specializes in capturing what a camera lens often flattens: the twinkle of joy in a mother's eyes, the dignified wrinkles of a patriarch, and the delicate texture of sacred fabrics.

The Anatomy of a Masterpiece
No digital filters. No AI printing. Every portrait is built layer by layer on 300+ GSM archival Italian cotton paper.
Proportional Grid Architecture
Using classical grid calculation methods, the structural foundation is anchored with precision hard graphite (2H-HB), ensuring 100% likeness to the subject.
Tonal Depth & Chiaroscuro
Mid-tones are sculpted using softer graphite (2B-4B) and blended charcoal dust, infusing life, muscle contours, and three-dimensional realism into the face.
Micro-Hatching & Archival Seal
Darkest values (6B-8B), delicate hair wisps, iris reflections, and matte archival fixative are applied to seal the paper from UV degradation for 100+ years.
International Recognition
Lucky Saini was recognized at the 20th International Child Art Exhibition organized by the esteemed KSHITIJ Art Society.
